I know it says in the bible that no one can predict the end times, but heck that doesnt mean we can't try. many people who are very wise have studied for years to discover the date of Christ's return, and all have failed. so instead of doing that, i say we just make up our own dates.

Of course i dont mean this as a way to actually predict the end times, but just as a way to have fun. Predictions can be as ridiculous, vague, or random as you want. Also feel free to post as many different dates as you like. I look forward to laughing about it with everyone in heaven .

my first prediction: December 25, 2080
reason: well, why i picked dec. 25 is pretty obvious, but i picked 2080 because it gives me enough time to live, and still be alive at the time (God willing) lol.

Just like you said, no one knows the day or hour, and he will come like a thief in the night. I personally think something will happen on Dec. 21, 2012 because that's when the Mayan calender ends, but I don't think Christ will come back then.

I think indeed that something will happen on that date. Also, the year 2018 must be important - it's somewhere in Scripture (I should ask one of my friends, who knows exactly, where) that important things will happen after Israël is founded one generation. A generation mostly is 70 years in the Hebrew tradition, and the state of Israël is founded in 1948.

But indeed, what exactly will happen on these dates/years, we don't know. Perhaps we won't even notice it ourselves, but is it a kind of start of what will happen. And when Jesus Himself returns, we don't know, but we should be prepared any moment, for He comes when we least expect him, as a thief in the night.

I try not to worry about these types of things. Here is my approach: what happens, happens. No matter what occurs, it is in God's plan, and I do not need to worry when it will happen.

You're totally right about that. Plus, God won't give us more trouble than we can handle. So I'm not the least troubled about the endtimes. Meanwhile, I still think we are in the endtimes, can be nearer to the beginning than to the end, but we are. Imho the endtimes started when Jesus left the earth on the clouds, and it's obvious we're drawing more and more to the end.
